Integra Driver Door Wont Lock

In order to get your door lock to work when the door is open you need to pull the inside door handle and the same time as pressing the lock button on the inside of the car.

Decided to work on my integra a bit today since i will be selling it. I have an aftermarket power door lock that i got from bestbuy but removed the little unit that joins the rods together. My driver door wont unlock. It cannot be unlocked with my key from inside the car or by removing the interior handle lock cover and trying to manipulate it.

You can get around it by holding the door release lever open as if you were trying to get out of the car and then manually locking it. Its a honda thing. To lock the doors insert the key into the lock on the driver s door and rotate the key counterclockwise until you hear the doors lock.
