In our case we have used a grinder with a diamond blade to cut out a small section of the tile. With one weekend and a lot of hard work we transformed a plain white wall into a farmhouse style tile backsplash. The best way is to arrange your wall tile in a pyramid shape. Place the mosaic sheets along the wall.

Hang edge tiles by applying adhesive to the backs of the tiles. If the tile has been cut make sure you re placing it in the right spot. Add tile spacers for help keeping the tile pieces lined up. Take your time and work on the wall in 3 square foot sections.

Take a tile for the edge of the wall and apply the adhesive to the back as if you were putting butter on a piece of toast. Be sure to put spacers between each tile as you go. If it seems complicated try this. Mark the wall at the top of the tile.

Flatten the tile with a grout float if necessary. Grout it clean up and enjoy. Use long sweeping motions to apply mortar to the wall and start placing your tiles in the marked locations. Then every subsequent row is a process of draping over the pyramid back and forth.

Next lock firmly the tile into position as you will use the grinder. Follow the lines you made when the tiles were dry fit to the wall. Slightly rock the sheet up and down perpendicular to the trowel lines to collapse the ridges and help the tile settle into place. The tiles must be set before you attempt to grout them or they will move and cause you headaches.

Using this tool score the cut line on a full tile and then snap the tile along the scribed line. To install ceramic wall tile use a level and measuring tape to mark the tile locations on the wall with chalk. Follow the package instructions for the tile mastic or thinset used for adhering the tiles to the wall.
